Your leaving your empty coffee mug to pick up on the way home reminds me of a prank my brother played when we had rented a house in Kelowna and he came to visit. We were at the kitchen table when we saw a couple — the woman carrying a coffee mug — walk past, and she stepped off the sidewalk and set her empty cup there to pick up on their way back. Once they were safely out of sight, my brother took the coffee pot out and refilled her cup. We then waited excitedly, out of sight of course, to see her reaction when they came back and she saw the full cup. Her surprise was priceless! We cracked up, safely behind the kitchen curtains.
